Senior Web Developer
SunGard Higher Education
May 2006 - September 2010
- Developed EduStream.org, a video on demand web application used by educational institutions in California. The front end is written in ASP.NET using C# and ASP.NET AJAX. The backend has classes calling stored procedures in a SQL 2005 database. There is also a number of flash-video encoding servers that I wrote a Windows Service for using C#. Each service is multi-threaded and pulls jobs from a queue, then converts each video to a flash video. I was the developer as well as the installer/configurator of the entire system.
- Developed a Form Manager application with front end GUI for building forms as well as collecting and managing data. The application was written using C# and Linq-to-SQL. The front end was built with ASP.NET AJAX - most of which has been replaced with jQuery. SQL 2008 database.
- Developed an operations management system for internal company use. The backend was written in C# and SQL. Data is accessed through stored procedures in a SQL 2005 database. ASP.NET AJAX was used on the front end.
- Developed over 50 smaller-sized applications for the higher education industry. Most of them were built using C# and ASP.NET with a SQL 2005 or 2008 database. jQuery was used on most of the front-ends. Many applications involve accessing data from web API's. I have built client libraries in C# for Flickr API, YouTube, and PageGlimpse, BOSS, and various other Yahoo API's.
- Done a little development with Windows Phone 7 using Silverlight and C#.
